Known as the "Mad Emperor" or the "Mad Killer," he is 26 years old at the start of the series. Despite his reputation for killing his children, he spares Ariadne because her lack of crying upon seeing him piques his curiosity. He famously brings princesses from conquered kingdoms as concubines. Despite his title, he governs his people effectively and only resorts to violence when he deems it justified. He gained widespread approval after disposing of his father and brothers.
